WEB Shifty Shellshock, the frontman of the rap rock band Crazy Town, has passed away at the age of 49. The news was confirmed by the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner's Office.
Shifty Shellshock, whose real name was Seth Binzer, co-founded Crazy Town in 1995. The band rose to fame in the early 2000s with their hit single "Butterfly." The song topped the charts in several countries and became a staple of the rap rock genre.
Crazy Town continued to release music throughout the 2000s, but never achieved the same level of success as with "Butterfly." Shifty Shellshock also pursued a solo career, releasing his debut solo album in 2004.
The cause of Shifty Shellshock's death has not yet been released.
