With just two games remaining for most NFL teams after a wild Saturday night of action, the playoff race is heating up. Check out the latest NFL Playoff Picture for the most up-to-date team performance stats and playoff scenarios.

Several teams are in the driver's seat for a playoff berth, while others are fighting for their playoff lives. For example, two wins in their remaining three games would almost certainly put the New York Giants in the playoffs, while the Detroit Lions may only need one win to secure a spot.

The 2023 NFL playoffs are set to begin on January 14th, with the No. 1 seeds in each conference -- the Baltimore Ravens in the AFC and the San Francisco 49ers in the NFC -- receiving a first-round bye.

Here is a look at the changes in the playoff picture over the last five weeks:

  • Make playoffs: The number of teams that have clinched a playoff berth has increased from 4 to 6 in the AFC and from 3 to 5 in the NFC.
  • Win division: The number of teams that have won their division has increased from 3 to 4 in the AFC and from 2 to 3 in the NFC.
  • Round 1 bye: The number of teams that have secured a first-round bye has increased from 2 to 3 in the AFC and from 1 to 2 in the NFC.
  • Super Bowl: The number of teams that are still in contention for the Super Bowl has decreased from 12 to 8 in the AFC and from 10 to 6 in the NFC.
